Maria Wada is a professional dancer/choreographer and yoga practitioner/teacher based in Los Angeles, California.
She is represented by Bloc Talent Agency LA for dance, commercial, film and modeling.
Also she is currently offering Yoga classes in LA area.
Maria Wada was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. She also lived in Mexico City from the age of 7 to 13.
She started dancing at the age of 15. She quickly fell in love with it and she knew she wanted to make a career as a dancer ever since.
Maria graduated Music collage “Tokyo School Of Music” “TSM” in dance major.
After her graduation she moved to New York City to complete international student visa program “ISVP” at Broadway Dance Center.
In 2009 she got her first artist visa and same year she auditioned for Beyonce’s MTV Video Music Awards performance and that became her first job in the US.
Maria moved to Los Angeles in 2010 to pursue her career as a dancer and she has worked and toured with numerous artists such as Madonna, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Jason Derulo and more.
She has performed in numerous TV shows and Awards shows including Superbowl Half Time Show, MTV Video Music Awards, Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Kids Choice Awards, American Idol, The Voice, America’s Got Talent, X factor and more.
Being a dancer led her to yoga path and she stepped into her first yoga class in 2012. Yoga changed her perspective of life and it became passion of hers. She completed 200hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training led by Julia Planine-Troiani and Lindsay Dombrowski in March 2018.
While she is continuously working as a dancer, she loves to share what has helped her life professionally, physically and spiritually through teaching yoga and dance.
